Curtis Craig Competition
Introduced in 1994, this competition was created in memory of Curtis Craig who organised the Inverness Music Festival for many years. Winners of the classes listed below are eligible for entry, provided their winning mark is at, or above, distinction level. Winners of these classes not attaining a Distinction mark may be admitted at the discretion of the Festival Chairman. Entrants will compete against each other before two adjudicators and the winner will receive the Curtis Craig Trophy.

Performers qualifying in more than one class may choose only one of these in which to perform.
Although not part of the competition, the winner of the Curtis Craig Memorial Quaich for Piping is also invited to perform on this occasion and receive a gold medal.
Elizabeth Davis Competition
Introduced for 2015, this competition was created to give greater recognition to performances of Scottish genres. Winners of the classes listed below are eligible for entry, provided their winning mark is at, or above, distinction level. Winners of these classes not attaining a Distinction mark may be admitted at the discretion of the Festival Chairman. Entrants will compete against each other before two adjudicators and the winner will receive the Elizabeth Davis Quaich.
